Geoffrey Bilson Award for Historical Fiction

The Bilson Award was established in 1988 in memory of historian and children's author Geoffrey Bilson. The annual prize of $1,000 has been made possible by the Canadian children's publishing industry, and is awarded to a Canadian author for an outstanding work of historical fiction for young people. It is administered by the Canadian Children's Book Centre.
