west& the author of more books of poetry, fiction & history than a
boy can count. Canada's first poet laureate, & recipient of both the Order of
Canada & the Order of British Columbia, his most recent collection is
Changing on the Fly: The Best Lyric Poems of George Bowering (Polestar, 2004).
