CABARET VEHICULE
The poetry event of the year!

"Not as one, then, do we present ourselves, but, AT ONCE."
Artie Gold

Endre Farkas, Artie Gold, Tom Konyves, Claudia Lapp, John McAuley, Stephen
Morrissey and Ken Norris were seven young poets in Montreal in the '70s who
wrote, read, sang, performed, danced, sculpted and chanted their poems
individually and collectively.

They ran the liveliest poetry scene in town: were the first editors of
Vehicule Press, put poems on the buses, on video, on stage, on an LP.

In recognition of their individual and collective work over the last thirty
years, The Musee d'art contemporain is pleased to present Cabaret Vehicule.

CABARET VEHICULE will be an evening of performances of a number of
performance/spoken word pieces written/created by the Vehicule Poets during
the 70s and 80s and performed by Step Dans Fuego directed by Liz Valdez.

CABARET VEHICULE is a showcase of their work adapted for the evening.

The second half of the evening will be reading by the Vehicule Poets of
their more recent works.

In addition, an anthology Vehicule Poets Now, (25 years after the
publication of Vehicule Poets), will be launched at this event.

CBC Radio ArtTalks will be recording the evening for a later broadcast.
Come and see and hear and experience the theatre of poetry in a way that you
have not yet experienced poetry.
Final sentence: Come see, hear and experience poetry fused with theatre in
a new way!
