for the sake of my own amusement, im running a contest. from the cover photograph of above/ground press chapbook spines, brilliantly conceived & taken by Joe Blades (Broken Jaw Press): whoever can figure out the most books by spines by January 1st, 2004 will get a years subscription to above/ground press, probably the most active poetry chapbook publisher in Canada (its quite mad, really). info on the book can be found at www.brokenjaw.com & copies of the book seem to be around in stores, which is good.
