Arc: Canada's National Poetry Magazine is pleased to present the launch of Arc 51:
Ottawa Poetry Now. To mark our 25th anniversary, Arc is celebrating our home
community of poets in Ottawa and the National Capital Region.

Selected poets featured in Arc 51 will be reading from their work at this "Luck of
the Draw" launch.... Only they don't know it yet! All of the contributors have
been invited to attend and will be ready to read. Surprise celebrity scrutineers
will draw ten names at random —so come and hear the lucky poets read.

The launch, sponsored by Heritage Brewing Ltd., is going to be held at the Ottawa
Art Gallery on Thursday, November 13, at 7 pm, in conjunction with the Gallery's
exhibition, The Bigger Picture: Portraits from Ottawa. Ottawa-band extraordinaire,
Snailhouse, will sing to the gods amidst a pantheon of Ottawa art and poetry.

We're very pleased to be publishing this special celebratory issue of Arc. We hope
you'll agree that it's destined to become a collector's item. The issue features
colour reproductions of selected artwork from the exhibit, and copies will be on
sale for $10 each. Get yours autographed by as many contributors as possible!
