Fourth Annual Word Literary Contest for Poetry and Short Fiction

New, original, unpublished work in two categories, short fiction (maximum 1,500 words) and poetry (maximum three double-spaced pages per poem) Deadline: 5pm EST, October 6, 2003

Prizes: in each category (short fiction & poetry) first $100, second $50, third $25, and the six prize-winning entries are published in *Word, toronto's literary calendar*; each entrant receives a year's subscription to *Word, tlc*

Entry fee: $20 for the first short story or poem & $5 for each additional short story or poem
