One of the many beautiful sandstone arches found in the S.E. desert of Utah

This is near the Salt Flats in Utah. The icy appearance in this photo is indeed just salt. I thought the salt crusted up on the bottom of the posts was a peculiar site.

The lava is coming down from one of the vents on Mauna Loa and hitting the water causing a steam cloud.

Jen and I were walking to the Green Sand Beach on South Point and we discovered this wonderfully colorful bunch of old nets.

One of the trails along the coast with almost nothing but Volcanic rock. One can see the path the river of lava had taken and remains plantless.

These are a few of our time in Maui. I did not know I had been spelling it with 2 "i's" until just now.

Apparently the sugar cane fields are burned at the end of every season, and it leaves the passer byers with a sweet burnt scent in the air.

This is of the Red Sand beach found along the Hana highway. There is so much iron in the volcanic rock, that this rock literally rusts away and overtime results in a red sand beach.

Looks like good ol' Rosetown got a bit of fresh paint this year.

These photos were of a rally for the Station 20 West project. The goal is to introduce a local grocery store, library, dental and medical clinic to a much needed area of town. The problem is that previously allocated funding from the government was pulled back as the Sask Party took over in Saskatchewan. 2000 people at a rally wouldn't seem like much, but in the politically sleepy town of Saskatoon, this was an overwhelming turn out.
