living sculpture

i wrote a fragment a while ago after imagining a wonderful sculpture that could change form and move. it would be different each time you saw it.

wired has a story on electroactive polymers - apparently they've been around for years. this kind of science could be put to interesting use in creating living sculptures.

pregnant monkey

while talking about pregnancy and whatnot the thought occurred to us - what does a pregnant monkey look like? and is monkey birth much like human birth? naturally, i did a google search on "pregnant monkey" and came up with only one semi-interesting image.

is this some kind of conspiracy? is it too disturbing to accept that a pregnant monkey closely resembles a certain other pregnant mammal?

note:
"pregnant ape" comes up with nothing in google's image search, while "pregnant gorilla" finds only a couple of images.
