Barnacles
Barnacles live attached to shells, rocks and other smooth objects. They often live on other animals, like whales. The barnacle lives upside down in its shell. It eats by sticking its feathery feet out of its shell and kicks plants and animal bits into its mouth. The barnacle goes inside its shell and closes its shell when in danger or in dry air.
